I thought the same thing yesterday. The irony is, as a European I used to joke about what I perceived as an “extreme” fear of fire in the common law countries I’ve lived in. I’m laughing a bit less now, as you can imagine. Fortunately, we got lucky: we’re safe, and didn’t lose anything in the fire.
